Texas Defensive Driving courses used for ticket dismissal are six hours in length as required by state regulations.
You do NOT need your driving record in order to take Defensive Driving.
HOWEVER, most courts do require that you bring a copy of your driving record when you go to turn in your certificate of completion for this course.
